MyJernih is a UKM MBA student-led community project that provides clean and safe drinking water to orphanages and elderly care homes across Malaysia through sustainable water filtration solutions.

The project focuses on registered orphanages and elderly care homes verified under Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM), impacting approximately 300–400 beneficiaries during the pilot phase.

Many centres face water quality issues due to aging infrastructure, irregular maintenance, or limited resources. Clean water reduces health risks, improves daily living conditions, and helps lower expenses on bottled water or treatments for water-related illnesses.

We install Halal certified whole-house outdoor water filtration systems that remove sediment, contaminants, harmful bacteria, and other impurities — ensuring clean water at every tap within the centre.

We conduct pre- and post-installation assessments, track improvements in water quality, document beneficiary count, and monitor awareness reach through digital advocacy campaigns.

Support can be offered through equipment sponsorship, logistics support, awareness sponsorship, or monetary contributions. All forms of support help expand the project’s reach and impact.

Sponsors receive recognition through our digital advocacy content, project updates, final impact report, and visibility on our website or related materials.

Yes. Each centre receives maintenance guidance from trained technicians, and partnerships with vendors ensure ongoing support. Our goal is to build a scalable model that can expand nationwide in future phases.
